Welcome to the Homepage!
Welcome What is Roshni? Roshni is a registered charity, which has been operating for 30 years and is devoted to providing support for South Asian women and their children who have suffered from domestic violence and forced marriage and honour based crimes. At Roshni we understand the needs and vulnerabilities of abused women and support them from the initial steps of leaving an abusive relationship through to starting a new life in a new home. As a refuge, Roshni provides safe emergency accommodation, for women and children fleeing domestic violence, honour based crimes and forced marriages. We aim to promote the advancement of education and social welfare of Asian women, to enable them to utilise a maximum range of options and achieve to define and meet their needs themselves. The nature of our service and experience means that we are culturally sensitive, understanding the pressures that our service users face and the support they need.

RSS Professional Web Design Webwoo All rights reserved I feel both pleased and privileged to be able to contribute to the wonderful work already undertaken by the staff and volunteers at Dementia Friendly Keighley. I hope that the extended Saturday opening times will help this successful and expanding local charity to provide help and support to those who are unable to call in to see us during the week. My background is within both local government and the NHS, but, like so many, I also have personal experience of caring for family members with dementia.
Situated in Barton Street with a name that suggests it is solely for Asian women the Roshni Asian Women's centre is in fact open to women of all religions and races. The aim of the centre is to be a base for women to meet and interact with each other in a safe environment. It also intends to build a better future for the women who use it.
